The True Meaning of Christian Living

The Christian way of life is defined in a compilation of sermons which appear in the last turn of the first millennium. The epistle of Pope Innocent III (reigned c. Innocent III) outlines the standards of conduct which the members of the Naperville churches are to observe. In the same year an additional epistle was written by Urban IV on the proceedings of the synod.

The first four letters of Urban IV prescribe rules of behavior for the priests, people in holy orders, and laymen professing the Christian faith. In the fifth letter, however, we find the prescription of a rule of faith whose authority is derived not from the pontiffs, but from God. It is therefore necessary to distinguish between the two degrees of truth. Faith, under the papacy, is superior to knowledge, though the latter may have some claim to rank above the former. Under the spiritual principle of the faith there is no difference between what can be known and what can't. Knowledge, on the other hand, is regarded as something posterior to faith.

It follows that we should regard knowledge as posterior to the revealed truth of God. On the other hand, faith is superior to knowledge. The basis of the two lies in the fact that, according to the catholic doctrine, the Papacy is the supreme authority over all matters pertaining to religion. The revealed truth concerning God is thus regarded as the supreme teaching of salvation. For the fathers, moreover, the revealed doctrine is a guide to action. This is why the divine prescriptions are called "the divine prescriptions" or "the commandments of Christ".

Therefore, we should live according to the revealed doctrine of God. The Christian doctrine, after all, is not founded on logic or emotion. Rather it is founded on the unassailable truths of God's word written down for the last ten thousand years. Accordingly, the Christian must regard his life as a journey on the way of salvation. The Christian must make the most of his life. He should live by the example set by the great Christian Fathers and the Christian tradition that they founded. The great living styles and practices that the Christian has put into practice can alone bring him to God and everlasting life. It is this kind of living that will give the true Christian the true sense of his place in the scheme of things and his relationship to the divine person.

We should never forget that the divine plan for our salvation and the Christian way of life is inseparable. These cannot be separated. A truly Christian will always work towards his ultimate objective of coming to God. He will never abandon his practices and walk the way of Christ. In summary, the Christian tradition and Naperville churches have brought man close to God. Hence, it is the Christian who is blessed for he has found God!

Understanding Christian Doctrine and the Christian Way of Life

The Christian way of life is based on the teachings of the Holy Bible and the Christian faith. Many people use the Christian faith as a tool to help them live their lives. When I was a child I used to study the Bible and pray, hoping that my prayers would bring my Lord to earth so that he could give me the promise of eternal life. Later on in my life as an adult I had a chance to meet a man who changed my life forever. His name is Timothy Leary and he changed my life forever because he shared the Gospel with me.

As a young boy I heard a great deal about the Bible and the Christian Doctrine of God. The more I became interested in this topic the more I realized that there were differences between the Christian Doctrine of God and what I thought was the Christian faith. It was at this time that I began to search for information concerning what God's Word said and how He came to earth and saved mankind. I went through a long period of disappointment and discouragement because I could not find any true answers. Many times it seemed that I was wasting my time trying to find what God had said by using methods that did not work.

I soon discovered that there were two ways that Naperville churches were using to gain eternal life. One way was through theosis which is theosis is when you become like Christ, i.e., you become a godly person in your body. The second way was through baptism which was also described in the Bible as the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. The key to eternal life is through theosis means to become God. Through baptism we are brought into the presence of our heavenly Father and we receive the gift of salvation from our Creator.

The Christian way of life uses the scripture to teach what is promises in the holy scriptures. The scripture provides a clear picture of what we can expect from Him. In the Christian gospel the scripture is believed to be the word of God as found in the Bible. It is believed that the Christian gospel is the final scripture revealed by God to man. There are three main aspects of the Naperville churches which includes the teaching of doctrine, obedience and revelation. The teaching of doctrine is necessary for man to become a good person while obedience brings us closer to our Creator and helps us understand our purpose in life. Finally revelation leads us closer to our heavenly Father and helps us know our identity as children of God.

The scripture contains promises that if we obey God we will receive His favor. This means that if we obey our Christian doctrine we will receive His favor. This means that to receive favor from our heavenly Father we must believe in Jesus Christ. If we do not believe in Jesus we cannot receive the gift of salvation from our heavenly Father through the gospel.

    Living the Christian Life

The Christian lifestyle, according to the infallible word of God, manifesting through an inspired utterance, is characterized by the following teachings: submission to God, the one true head of the Christian Household, living in accord with Christ's commandments, loving one neighbor even though he are different from ourselves, keeping away from things evil, being patient, washing your hands before you sleep, having joy and happiness in your heart for ever, and being prepared to share a good news with others. These are the fundamental teachings of the Christian faith. As we go along our journey of walking in the footsteps of Christ, we will encounter different situations and problems, some of which are not as easy to deal with as others. But while facing difficulties we can always be assured that God is there to provide a plan of remedy and help, which is available to all people, Christian or non-Christian alike.

Submissions To God. The Christian lifestyle is characterized by submission to the will of God, particularly upon the baptism of the disciples. This submission and consequent incorporation of works is predicated on the fact that God, in his wisdom has established his voice as the final authority in salvation and redemptive favor. The letter of Clement, in union with Origen of Alexandria, represents the first Christian attempt at submitting to the will of God concerning baptism. The letter emphasizes the need for disassociating oneself from the world, of which the baptism was a part, in order to be washed and sanctified after the baptism.

Gospel preached. The Christian way of life is characterized by the preaching of the gospel. The gospel is a unique product of the will of the lord. Just as the sun rises up everyday without any particular reason, the gospel must be preached in the same manner to all individuals, though at different times and in different ways. Christian preaching, like all other work of faith, depends ultimately on the presence of the living God.

A sense of responsibility. The greatest incentive for the Naperville churches is the sense of responsibility that they derive from their faith. The gospel brings the glory of God down to the level of man, making him realize that he is responsible for his own life and happiness. Humans are made responsible for their own actions and, through the master Jesus Christ, for the future eternity.

Ignatius Inuit. Theophilus of pitus (or Inuit, the Christian of the East) is one of the great exponents of the Christian way of life. His book, Orthodoxy, remains one of the important classics on the early Christian faith. It expounds the thought of Ignatius of Jerusalem, one of the most prolific Christian fathers of the third century and an outstanding leader of the Naperville churches.

The book covers the life of the true believer who is called to be an "unconditional" (i.e., not conditional) witness to the glory of God by being in the presence of Jesus. Orthodoxy emphasizes the sanctity of God and the need of obedience in order to achieve and preserve holiness. This includes walking in obedience to the commandments of Jesus, serving others, guarding against evil and neglecting one's own interests. The key virtue is holiness.
